DIRECTED BY CODY JOEL, JUSTICE DENIED THE FILM, IS AN AWARD WINNING 15 MINUTE SYNOPSIS OF HOWELL WOLTZ'S HARROWING EXPERIENCE WITH AMERICA'S CORRUPT JUDICIAL SYSTEM.
Early on the morning of April 18th, 2006 Howell Woltz, A successful trust and estate practitioner, finds himself handcuffed and arrested by the FBI on charges he had never heard of.
It soon becomes clear it isn’t just a simple mix-up when they put his wife in chains as well, leaving two children alone and asleep at home. Things turn from bizarre to nightmarish when Howell and his wife are denied bail and thrown into jail alongside the state’s most brutal offenders. Amidst the chaos, federal agents confront the Woltzes, giving them the option to lie as witnesses against former clients in exchange for their freedom. Dedicated to his morals, Howell refuses. Infuriated by their refusal to comply, the feds throw him back into local lockup in an attempt to break his spirit. Howell soon turns the tables on them upon examining the blatant injustices in other cases and realizes he is not alone. He spends his days fighting the corrupt system until he receives word that his wife is dying. That night Howell agrees to plead guilty to fabricated charges in order to gain his wife’s freedom. He serves nearly 7 years in federal prison losing his marriage and his career in the process, though getting many wrongfully convicted inmates exonerated and learning firsthand what needs to change in the American system of “justice.” Please feel free to share this film.
